Frequently Asked
Questions

Do waist trainers work and are they safe?

Yes, waist training does work and they are safe when realistic precautions are taken. Some people purchase shapewear that is too small and create rash and discomfort. Some people state that waist trainers squeeze your organs which is not true. Surprising to belief many organs are covered with fascia, bones, and skin which keep them for the most part safe. Some women have had surgeries such as hysterectomies, or gall bladder removal and wonder if it is safe to wear. When organs removed sometimes other organs can shift because what was anatomically there originally is removed and the organ that was once there to hold it in place is gone. Shapewear can aid in helping maintain organ support and structure. If at any time, you are wearing a garment and it is unbearable it should immediately be removed. Many people report they feel better and more support overall with shapewear. After childbirth, it is very helpful in helping your uterus return to its normal size and reduce belly size and skin laxity.

Shapewear is beneficial is shaping and contouring various body types, and support the muscle system. Over time lifestyle changes and poor alignment can cause laxity in the muscle fibers. Wearing shapewear provides support, and relieves the pressure and discomfort from poor posture. Waist training helps to aid in slimming the midsection providing more circulation and heat which causes you to sweat. Areas including back fat and love handles can be reduced with proper diet and exercise. Over time results are achieved with individual lifestyle regimens.

What is the different between a waist trainer and corset?

A waist trainer is used to aid in reducing the midsection through sweat and contouring of the fat. A corset is something that is worn for more aesthetic purposes and once one has achieved a desire waistline. Please be mindful in wearing a waist trainer or a corset, you can only reduce and go as small as your rib cage allows. Embrace your body structure.

How often do I need to wear the waist trainer?

It is important to wear your waist trainer at least 4 days a week, some people elect to take the weekends as their break time and wear it only Monday through Friday. The trainer should be world on average 6-8 hours per day. Over time you become accustomed to the support the garment provides and it becomes a part of your lifestyle. When you began to see a reduction in your midsection and the garment is easily put on and lacks it fit, it may be time to be fitted for the next size down. You do not need to get rid of the larger garment, I recommend you keep that one to wear in the gym or when traveling and use the newer one for the daily extended wear.

I suffer from back pain and I also stand on my feet a lot which product would you recommend?

Yes! The sports trainer is great and can be worn while working a regular job or while exercising. Some people elect to wear the sports trainer versus the waist trainer and this is a matter of preference. The waist trainer is worn easier under clothes and is less detectable. Some people purchase both the waist trainer and the sports trainer, wearing the Waist Trainer during the day and the Sports Trainer during exercise. Whatever makes you feel most comfortable and provides overall relief.

How long does it take to see results?

Results are reported in as little as 1-2 weeks, it all depends on your eating and exercise habits as well as your body type. Just because you do not see changes in this amount of time does not mean it is not working, nor does it mean give up. Your body did not get this way overnight and it will not reverse overnight. Training takes patience and so does transitioning into a healthier lifestyle.

How many bowel movements should I be having per day and why?

You should have at least 2 bowel movements per day, each time you consume a meal you should have some form of movement. No I am not saying you should have loose bowels however active bowel elimination is essential to losing weight, maintaining weight and keeping a slim waistline. If you are not having regular bowel movements it may be time to consider adding a digestive supplement, and making some changes to your diet. Poor muscle tone also impacts bowel function and elimination.

Why is colon cleansing important?

Colon cleansing is important because your health begins in your stomach. Food must move through your digestive system and it is essential to have healthy bowel function. Some people eat healthy, waist train and still do not have regular bowel movements this may contribute to a larger midsection and a predisposition for other health problems as well. I recommend a cleansing regimen before you begin waist training and while waist training. Each person will have their own colon cleansing routine and supplements will need to be modified based on each individual.

How do I measure my waist?

You will want to get a tape measure in inches and measure the smallest part of your waist all the way around, some people need help, if you are not sure you may want to ask for a second set of hands to ensure better accuracy.

How do I determine if I need the waist trainer or the vest?

If your desire is to reduce in the midsection and minimally in the back area, the waist trainer is best for you. If you have more back in the bra area that is going to bulge in the waist trainer only, giving you the appearance of a waist trainer as it will not be smooth. The trainer vest will eliminate this problem because that area will be properly covered by the garment.
